First tomatoes!

Day 178.  And now we are leaving! It has been so hot here that I don’t think they’ve been setting fruit for the last few weeks anyway. Not much of a tomato season here! Casa Magnolia, Wimberley, Texas

Painting the motorhome chairs

Day 177. Getting ready for our long trip. One of the new sort of folding chairs we had been using broke at an art fair, so I touched up these metal folding chairs. Casa Magnolia, Wimberley, Texas

Wild gourd

Day 176.  This wild gourd has been living at the end of a roof downspout ever since we bought the house several years ago. I usually leave plants I’m not familiar with until I see if they are interesting. I find this interesting since nothing else wants to live there… Casa Magnolia, Wimberley, Texas

Mutated canna

Day 175.  We have a lot of old-style red-blooming cannas that were here when we moved in. I leave them because they provide nice greenery and the hummingbirds like their flowers, even if they aren’t very showy. Last year I noticed this one. I doubt anyone planted a fancy canna in that place — it is probably a mutant. I love it’s color and have to pay attention to where it is because I do thin canna frequently, and this one is near a rose bush. Casa Magnolia, Wimberley, Texas
