We spent two nights at the Place d'Armes Hotel, just half a block from Jackson Square. What a marvelous location!
The French Quarter of New Orleans is a wonderful area for simply walking, but if you want transportation, you can try one of the mule and carriages or the streetcar.
Everywhere you look in the French Quarter there is something interesting to see.
