Deer in morning light

Posted in Animals on February 17th, 2010 by judy

I got up this morning and saw a herd of deer grazing outside my office window, bathed in beautiful rim light.  Mostly of course their heads are down, and when they are not, they are partly behind trees or other deer, or with their butts facing me…  But I got a couple that I like out of the bunch, and here’s one.  Casamagnolia, Wimberley, Texas

Two Roses II

Posted in Flowers and Plants on February 11th, 2010 by judy

We brought these two roses home from the garden club and  I couldn’t resist trying to capture their beauty with the camera.  Notice that the off-white rose and the red rose are unfolding differently.  Wimberley, Texas

Agave in evening sun

Posted in Home on February 9th, 2010 by judy

Last year we lost the two huge agave that used to flank the entrance to the front door to some kind of grubs they are prone to. These, by the driveway entrance, are still healthy. The goat sculpture is by Nate, recyclesculptor.com/. Casamagnolia, Wimberley, Texas
