I think I took pictures of a zillion different flowers last weekend. The fall and spring rains have made it a very special year for wildflowers in Texas. Devil’s River State Natural Area, Del Rio, Texas.
This subject was suggested by the teacher at a workshop I attended last weekend. After seeing the resulting image, I wanted to focus on the “rim lighting” on the tiny hairs, so I cropped it. This demonstrates one of my favorite tools, ReDynaMix. Before at left, after at right. ReDynaMix can be used to give a kind of HDR look to a single image. It brings out detail and in particular brings details out of shadows.
