Datura Twins (redux)

Datura Twins

This is a rework of a photograph of the back side of two datura flowers after a rain.  I brought out the natural texture of the flowers and then added a texture to the background to make the flowers stand out more.   The plant is sometimes called Jimson Weed and grows “wild” in our yard.  They bloom at night and attract Sphinx moths.  The caterpillars of this moth eat datura leaves, which are poisonous to humans and livestock.

Olde Towne Plaza Shop

Shop in Olde Towne Plaza, Wimberley, in Winters Eve.  This is a multiple exposure shot combined in the camera (Sony A77).    Great for night shots if things aren’t moving very fast.
