Corner Balcony redux. This photo was taken in New Orleans in 2007. It shows how I think of New Orleans: old, interesting, beautiful and a little bit run down… On return trips to New Orleans we always visit that corner. One time it was considerably more run down, to my dismay. The next time it looked like they were renovating it. But this photo is to me the perfect combination of beauty and decay.
Then a couple of days ago I got an order for a print on canvas. That gave me the opportunity to rethink this photo and its processing and crop, and this is what I came up with for a 16×20 canvas.
