I spent some months of the pandemic installing new software tools and learning to use them, catching up on some projects (including a new website<\/a> and updated portfolio\/catalog). And we took a trip in our little motorhome (see previous posts, plus I will do a couple more installments of that trip). And then I decided that photographing still lifes was something I would like to try. I had done some in the past, not very seriously, and now decided to be a bit more serious about it. Being a “collector” (aka hoarder), and being old, I have lots of interesting old stuff which would just love to be photographed… <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

You say what is a still life? A still life “a painting or drawing of an arrangement of objects, typically including fruit and flowers and objects contrasting with these in texture, such as bowls and glassware.” In our case, it is photographed not painted or drawn… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The image at the top is titled Weighing the Grapes… The one below is Art Deco Telephone with Grapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
