Our hotel, the Conrad, is in Besiktas, and an interesting area itself, and a short bus ride from downtown Istanbul. Restaurants, old buildings, fishing on the Bosporus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The photo at left below was taken from the Conrad Hotel. You can see the Blue Mosque in the distance across the water. At right below, a view in a different direction of the Bosporus (note a submarine in the photo).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were lots of cruise ships docked at Istanbul, including the Queen Elizabeth, and other ships, and ferries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
